Where it all Started

Years of Dreaming

After several years of thinking about starting a blog, I have finally made the most important step. Starting. I have always wanted to share my ideas, my journey, my progress, my knowledge, and my experience through the daily turbulences of life. Today marks an important day for me because it unlocks my passions and I welcome everyone to sojourn with me. Together, we are going to learn, unlearn, motivate, and lead a life worth living.

Nursing and healthcare

I am a registered nurse, and I have been for more than 5 years now. Over the years, as a nurse, I have been involved directly and indirectly in the care of patients with different conditions, but mostly lifestyle conditions. The healthcare industry mostly focusses on treating your symptoms. It is more about curative care rather than preventive care. Billions are spent in finding cures for diseases. Sadly, preventive care is hardly mentioned. I have always wanted to change this narrative but then self-doubt has been derailing me. Do I have the resources to push this agenda? What about support? Who is going to listen to my ideas? Is it me overthinking? Is it how the world operates? These and many other self-doubt questions have been successful in keeping me a bay.

Enough is Enough

Not anymore. I am the change the world needs, and my voice matters. Through writing, I am confident I will make a difference in society. My stories will reach many. We all deserve to know how to lead a lifestyle that promotes wellness. Knowledge is power, and we all deserve to know how we can be healthy, and I am going to unveil in my blogs how to attain that power.

Step One

Today is our first step.

One step at a time. Baby steps are still steps. Crawl if you must, but keep moving forward. You will never be defeated as long as you keep moving.
